I’m only going to say this once to every single person trying to focus on the weeping White children and whatnot.

Fuck you and fuck your tears.

I do not give a tin shit if someone watches that, or participates in something like that and comes out with nothing more than saying OMG I FEEL SO (insert your issue here) unless it involves realizing and thinking about all the times you passively or actively participated in racism.

If it is not that, fuck you.

I say fuck you because that is how I have been treated by not children, no I’m not talking about bullying which I also experienced but abuse from people in positions of power.

Whether it was me walking home alone when I was 10 years old with an armful of books and being questioned about being a prostitute (when I was clearly not woman sized or shaped, not in the high prostitution area in my neighborhood but because I was a BLACK FEMALE alone).

I was a child and afraid of the police I was taught by school to trust.

I didn’t cry.

I didn’t cry when I was the ONLY black child in the classroom and every other child in the room laughed about slaves being whipped.

They fucking laughed.

I had to sit and listen to every time in school when other kids decided that Black history is stupid, that they laughed about Black children just like me being lynched, when people said “Black people are disgusting”.

I didn’t cry.

Every time I watched some pretty White girl steal from a store and I was held because I stopped to ask a question about an item, whether I bought it or not.

Every time I have paid for goods and had my bags searched, been followed by strange men whom I wasn’t sure if they were security or not.

Every time I have needed something as basic as drug store foundation and gone into six drugstores in a fifteen mile radius and found nothing.

Every time some condescending bitch has looked straight at me and expressed shock and pleasure about how I speak.

Every time some dickbag has spoken to me like I am a child because “you people” don’t seem to understand.

Every time someone has spoken to me on the phone prior to meeting me and when they did meet me exclaimed, “I didn’t know you are Black”

Every time I have been questioned about incidences involving Black people and police in a four square block radius and disbelieved simply for being Black and in the area.

Every time I have had so called free thinkers, activists etc tell me that when I’ve felt persecuted or pointed out that something is racist, that it’s not the important thing and furthermore HOW DARE I even think to bring up such things because it might hurt someone’s feelings.

Fuck you.

Fuck your tears.

I can’t break down in tears every time this shit happens and it happens pretty much daily. I can’t run out of the room.

There is no protection for me just because I am a Black woman.

So no, I don’t give a shit if you freak out. I don’t give a shit if your feelings are hurt and I don’t give a single hot fuck if I’m not being nice.
